Kia recently unveiled its all-electric EV4 sedan and hatchback variants ahead of their EV Day event, both built on Hyundai’s 400V architecture and providing impressive efficiency and driving dynamics.

Both body styles of the Kia EV4 have been carefully designed to appeal to a wide demographic, featuring modern and advanced new tech features that appeal to different demographics. Inside its cabin will likely be found twin 12.3-inch driver and navigation screens similar to those found in Kia’s other EVs.

EV Tiger Face

Kia’s first dedicated EV is an elegant machine. Built on Hyundai’s E-GMP platform, its 383 mile range can provide zero emissions driving. Kia’s unique “Opposites United” design language showcased on its exterior as well as an unconventional variation of their classic Tiger Nose grille which signifies this vehicle as being uniquely Kia.

Kia EV4 features an elegant long-tail silhouette with wide stance and features vertical headlights that emphasize its sporty yet smooth character. Up front, vertical headlights create a striking profile while the new “Digital Tiger Face” lighting signature made up of clusters of cube lights in its bodywork express a bold personality. Furthermore, a technical and geometric tailgate design seamlessly integrates into rear glass while its smart LED “Star Map” daytime running light creates an animated lighting pattern unique to Kia EVs; further underscoring its elegant style is its minimalist technology-enabled cabin – which further highlights its stylish elegance.

Long-Tail Sedan

Traditional sedans may be struggling in this era of SUVs and crossovers, yet the EV4 offers an appealing alternative to the BMW 3 Series and Mercedes C-Class models that once dominated this niche market. Plus its three adult seating capacity keeps with the feeling of a coupe vehicle!

The sleek roofline and front fender design improve aerodynamic performance, as does a rear spoiler and C-pillars that fold into the body, as well as unique window arrangements with flush lighting, invisible door handles and side-view cameras in lieu of side mirrors that reduce surface areas that could create drag.

The EV4 GT-Line adopts a sportier aesthetic with its triangular-motif 19-inch wheels and distinct C-pillar design. Furthermore, it boasts an additional rooftop spoiler as well as wing-shaped front and rear bumpers for an aggressive appearance. Unfortunately, cargo space is limited at 12 cubic feet – enough space for groceries but no much else.

GT-Line Hatchback

Kia’s GT-Line hatchback rounds out its electric vehicle lineup, adding sporty flair to the EV4. It boasts an eye-catching fold in its roof sheet metal that adds visual intrigue, but could deter potential buyers.

Kia’s iconic Tiger Face has been modernised for the digital era with sleek vertical headlights and Star Map lighting completing the modern solid look, further enhanced by black vertical C-pillars.

At the back, EV4 features a wrap-around taillight design with integrated lip spoilers to create its distinctive light signature and enhance its dynamic appearance. Inside is an 12.3-inch infotainment display displaying gauges and featuring navigation, wireless Apple CarPlay/Android Auto compatibility, an outstanding rear camera system, Harman Kardon sound system with premium Harman speakers and many apps; driver assistance technologies such as lane keeping assist, smart cruise control with stop/go capability and forward collision avoidance are also present, while Haptic steering wheel warnings help drivers remain in their lanes and keep an eye out for pedestrians/other vehicles on their way.

Interior

Kia’s futuristic-styled SUVs EV6 and EV9, and soon-to-arrive midsize EV5 SUV have drawn great acclaim, yet don’t neglect sedans in its lineup of electric vehicles (EV). Kia has not overlooked sedans in its EV lineup either: Kia EV4 saloon and hatchback feature an eye-catching front end design featuring Kia’s signature Tiger Face design along with vertically aligned headlights featuring Star Map lighting; further reinforced by sloping silhouette, unique two-piece roof spoilers, machined 19 inch wheels to create an overall balanced yet progressive presence that conveys progressiveness of contrast while maintaining progressiveness of contrast and progressiveness of contrast and progressive presence.

Inside the cabin of Kia’s EV4, its sleek minimalist design is highlighted by zero-waste materials and natural tones throughout its interior. A spacious cockpit features a 12.3-inch widescreen display containing both the infotainment system and digital cluster, climate control touchpad control and support for Apple CarPlay/Android Auto wireless integration. Furthermore, Kia’s ccNC software enables drivers to interact intuitively with their vehicle by way of personalized ‘Mind Modes’ to enhance driving pleasure.
